Dancing with the Stars judges' leaderboard was topped by William Levy and Cheryl Burke during Monday night's broadcast of the fourteenth season's eighth performance show, which featured the Top 6 finalists performing an individual ballroom routine and an additional first-ever "trio dance" performance.

The telenovela star and his professional partner finished in first place with 57 out of 60 possible points on the judges' leaderboard for the first time this season during the live broadcast.

In addition to dancing their initial routine, Monday night's show featured the competition's six remaining couples each picking one previously-eliminated professional dancer or member of the Dancing with the Stars troupe to join their performance and show off the celebrity to the best of their ability. The "trio dance" was eligible to receive up to 30 possible points -- which would be added to each contestants' individual scores -- from Dancing with the Stars judges Len Goodman, Carrie Ann Inaba and Bruno Tonioli.

Levy and Burke danced an individual foxtrot which received 30 out of 30 possible points -- the first perfect score of three 10s for the pair this season -- from the judges and then performed a paso doble featuring Tony Dovolani for their trio routine that earned 27 additional points.

Disney Channel star Roshon Fegan and partner Chelsie Hightower finished second on the leaderboard with 56 total points. They danced a foxtrot which received 29 points and followed it with a paso doble routine alongside Sasha Farber from the dance troupe for their trio routine which earned 27 points from the judges.

Third place on the judges' leaderboard represented a tie between NFL player Donald Driver and partner Peta Murgatroyd and opera singer Katherine Jenkins and partner Mark Ballas, who each earned 55 total points. Driver and Murgatroyd danced a tango that received 27 points from the judges and then returned to the dance floor and performed a jive with Karina Smirnoff that earned 28 points.

Jenkins and Ballas performed an individual Viennese waltz that earned 26 points, and then they took to the stage again with Tristan MacManus for the trio round and danced a cha cha which received 29 additional points from the judges.

Entertainment reporter and Extra host Maria Menounos and partner Derek Hough placed fifth on Monday night's leaderboard with a grand total of 53 points. In addition to the 28 points they earned for their individual Viennese waltz performance, they also danced a samba routine which received only 25 points and featured dance troupe member Henry Byalikov.

Former Little House on the Prairie star Melissa Gilbert and partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy finished in sixth -- and last -- place on the judges' leaderboard with 51 total points. They performed a foxtrot routine which received 24 points from the judges and a samba routine for the trio round that earned 27 additional points. The couple danced their trio performance with Val Chmerkovskiy.

The judges' scoring and home viewer votes that were cast after Monday night's performances will now be combined and two of the six celebrity and professional pairings will be ousted in a special double-elimination twist during Dancing with the Stars' seventh fourteenth-season results show tonight at 9PM ET/PT.

Next week's Dancing with the Stars performance show will feature the four remaining couples competing in the season's semifinals round.

The semi-finals are just a week away on Dancing with the Stars. But to get there, the six remaining couples had to perform two dances each on Monday night – and will have to survive a double elimination on Tuesday. (Spoilers ahead!)

In the first round of competition, William Levy and Cheryl Burke landed atop the leader board with a high-energy foxtrot that earned a perfect score. "You bring these performances to life," Carrie Ann Inaba told the couple. "There was care in technique and flare in the movement," added Len Goodman.

In a close second were Roshon Fegan and Chelsie Hightower, who barely survived last week's dance duel. Their foxtrot earned 29 points and had Bruno Tonioli gushing. "The sweetest of sweethearts," he called them. "What you've done in a week is incredible."

After earning a perfect score last week, Maria Menounos and Derek Hough earned 28 points for what Bruno called an "amazing" Viennese waltz. Donald Driver and Peta Murgatroyd's tango, which opened the night, earned 27 points. And Katherine Jenkins and Mark Ballas picked up 26 points for a Viennese waltz. "Your technique is outstanding," Carrie Ann said, but "you lost your balance."

At the bottom after the first round were Melissa Gilbert and Maksim Chmerkovskiy, whose foxtrot earned just 24 points. But the judges were pleased with their improvement. "This was your best dance so far," Len said.

For the second round of competition, the couples added a third partner, choosing either an eliminated pro or a member of the DWTS dance troupe to perform a Latin routine.

Despite a wardrobe malfunction (her pant leg stuck to her shoe), Katherine and Mark's cha cha with Tristan MacManus was a hit with the judges, who awarded them 29 points. Bruno called it "sexy and cool," while Len said it was "clean and clever."

Donald and Peta performed an energetic jive with Karina Smirnoff that earned 28 points – a low score, according to an unsatisfied audience. "You never missed a step, you kept up the whole round," Carrie Ann said. "I loved your three-way!" Len called the routine, which ended with Donald jumping over both partners, "fun, fun, fun."

Roshon and Chelsie tied with Cheryl and William in the second round. Both couples earned 27 points for paso dobles. Val Chmerkovskiy joined his brother and Melissa for a sizzling samba that was once again deemed her best dance ever by Carrie Ann. They also earned 27 points.

And Maria and Derek brought in troupe member Henry Byalikovat for a Bollywood-themed samba that caused a rift among the judges. Carrie Ann and Bruno both called the routine "incredible" and gave them nine points while Len only gave them seven, saying, "There was no connection for me with the samba."

Two couples will be sent home Tuesday night.

William Levy has danced into American pop culture on TV's biggest stage.

On ABC's"Dancing with The Stars" this season, the Southwest Ranches resident, actor and model has become an overnight fan favorite, not only for his swiveling hips but also for his personal journey from Havana to Hollywood.

As Levy struts toward the grand finale May 22, his faithful South Florida followers wonder whether the telenovela heartthrob can parlay his recent mainstream popularity into a crossover success.

"It doesn't take a prophet. He is going to cross over,'' said Alex Nogales, president of the National Hispanic Media Coalition, which advocates for the increased presence of Latinos on television. "Look at how the audience responds to him. He is going to be a major star."

His fans as well as TV and media analysts agree that Levy's charisma and appeal among men and women will help catapult him from telenovelas to Tinseltown.

"This show is definitely opening some doors for him,'' said Manny Yanez, Levy's former baseball coach at Barbara Goleman High School in Miami Lakes. "He told me that he was doing the show because he wanted America to know him, because they really don't know who he was outside the Hispanic community. Hispanic women knew who he was."

Levy was already a major star in Spanish-language television — and that may have factored into ABC's decision to cast him, analysts say.

" 'Dancing with The Stars' is the most mainstream [show] of English-speaking television. Here, one of the slots is given to someone who made his career in Spanish television,'' Robert Thompson, TV professor at Syracuse University, said. "He is really emerging. He gets a big audience."

He and others point to Spanish TV actors such as Sofia Vergara and Salma Hayek who went on to blaze successful Hollywood careers post-telenovelas. Vergara, for example, went from model and Spanish TV star to cast member of the top-rated ABC comedy,"Modern Family."

ABC also has dedicated substantial coverage in letting Levy, 31, tell his Cuban back story, which has endeared fans.

"I think his appeal comes from his looks but also from his moving story and the fact that he can tell it in English,'' said Alicia Civita, a Boca Raton blogger at mamaslatinas.com. "He came here at a relatively young age so he speaks the language and that is a plus for him."

'Skinny, soft-spoken'

In interviews, Levy has said he was born William Levy Gutierrez and raised by a single mother in Cojimar, Cuba. He was preparing to leave the island by boat when his family received asylum to come to Miami. By 15, Levy was a ninth-grade student at Goleman, where he learned English and played baseball.

Faculty there fondly recalled him as a "skinny, soft-spoken kid."

"The same bits of humor, the smirks that he makes on the show [DWTS], I saw that too when he was here,'' said Seth Fogler, athletic trainer at the high school.

"He is a very quiet person, soft-spoken but very competitive. I can still see that on the show,'' said his former coach Yanez, a Pembroke Pines resident.

Levy headed toSt. Thomas Universityon a baseball scholarship and but then decided to pursue modeling and acting.

"When I was a little boy, my dream was to play baseball and leave Cuba,'' he said in a recent interview with The New York Post. "The whole time I was playing baseball [in the United States] … I was in the outfield thinking of acting."

His breakout role came in 2007 on the telenovela "Pasion," and was followed by leading man roles in 2009's "Sortilegio" (The Spell) and 2010's "Triunfo Del Amor" (Triumph of Love). He became known as the king of the telenovela. After he appeared in Jennifer Lopez's video "I'm Into You" last year, media quickly anointed him the "Latin Brad Pitt." Levy is also a father of two: Christopher, 6, and Kailey 2, with on-and-off girlfriend Elizabeth Gutierrez.

Fueling his fandom is South Florida. "Dancing with The Stars" has been the second or third most-watched program since March in the Fort Lauderdale-Miami TV market. One episode last month drew 246,000 local total viewers.

Among the contestants, who also include opera singer Katherine Jenkins and syndicated TV host Maria Menounos, Levy has the highest number of "likes" on Facebook (3,827). And loyal fans have created websites such as "William Levy World, Florida."

One of its members: Carolina Martinez, an executive assistant who lives in Weston.

"Honestly, sometimes I don't even see the rest of the show. I just want to see him dancing,'' said Martinez, 42, who started watching the show to catch Levy. "If he does the crossover to the Anglo market, I'd follow his career. I know someone is going to try and hire him to hook the Latino audience."

Levy's appeal extends to men, too. Nogales described Levy as "a man's man. They have an appreciation for him."

Jorge Ares for one. The Miami massage therapist has followed Levy's career since his model and soap opera days.

"He is very humble and he doesn't forget where he came from,'' said Ares, 41. "He can have un café con leche and play dominoes on Calle Ocho or he can go to a five-star restaurant and be all sophisticated. He adapts to whatever setting."

William Levy earned his first perfect score of the season for his foxtrot with Cheryl Burke. The Cuban heartthrob, 31, earned top praise from judges Carrie Ann Inaba, Len Goodman and Bruno Tonioli.

"You couldn't be more suave or debonaire if you tried. I hate you even more," Tonioli joked. Inaba added, "So much fun to watch!"

Other partners weren't as lucky. Both Maria Menounos, 33, and Melissa Gilbert, 47, fought with their partners during rehearsals and ended up in tears. During rehearsal, Maksim Chmerkovskiy, 32, got frustrated with Gilbert and told her, "You're making me look like a terrorist." But he apologized after their performance and said, "I truly want the best for this woman. I love her with all my heart. Moving forward, it won't happen again."

Derek Hough also apologized to Menounos for their rehearsal fight. Menounos cried over their fight and Hough, 26, admitted he was a "jerk." He explained, "Sometimes you hurt the ones you love the most."

After the contestants received their individual scores, they danced in the "Trio Challenge" with an additional dance pro. Menounos and Hough performed with dance troop member Henry, Donald Driver and Peta Murgatroyd danced with Karina Smirnoff and Gilbert and Chmerkovskiy paired up with Val Chmerkovskiy. Katherine Jenkins and Mark Ballas partnered with Tristan MacManus, Roshon Fegan and Chelsie Hightower danced with Sasha Farber and Levy and Burke teamed up with Tony Dovolani.

With the added points from the trio dance, Levy stayed in first placed with 57/60, Fegan was in second with 56/30 and Jenkins and Driver tied for third with 55/60. Second to last was Menounos with 53/60 and Gilbert came in last with 51/60.

William Levy Feeling ‘Pretty Good’ About Landing At Top Of ‘Dancing’ Leaderboard
LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- With a double elimination in the cards on Tuesday night, William Levy is thankful for finally getting a perfect score on “Dancing with the Stars.”

“I was like, ‘I wish we could have at least three 10s before we even go or win or whatever,’ because you never know at this point in the competition,” William told Access Hollywood on Monday night. “So, I’m pretty happy right now that we were able to see those three 10s right there. That felt awesome.”

But William, and his professional partner, Cheryl Burke, didn’t just get three 10s — combined with the score for their trio dance with Tony Dovolani, which earned 27 points, they topped the leaderboard.

“It’s pretty good that we are on the top right at the end of the competition, which is what we wanted to do,” William said, referring to the pace in which the pair took the lead.

William said he benefitted this week from having a male coach teach him a few additional posture related moves for their trio dance.

“We found that in Tony, he’s a great guy and he taught me the little things that probably Cheryl cannot teach me,” he said. “She can teach me everything, all the routines… But sometimes, you need a man figure to really see how to do it, you know? And it was definitely Tony that wanted to do it and it was good. I had a lot of fun all week this week.”

While at the top of the leaderboard, fan favorite William is still sweating Tuesday night’s impending double elimination.

“The scores are so close, like one or two points between all of us,” he said. “People may think just because we got a high score that we’re automatically safe but we’re really not, you never know.”

The Results Show kicks off with an encore performance of the first-ever trio dance. That means Donald and Peta do their Jive one more time with a little help from Karina. Then Donald and Peta learn they are safe. Katherine and Mark, however, are in jeopardy.

We then learn that first couple to be eliminated in this Results Show is Roshon & Chelsie. That means William & Cheryl are headed to the semifinals. Chris Brown performs live onstage and we are later treated to a rockin’ tribute to the legendary Dick Clark in a performance that features some real American Bandstand dancers.

As the elimination process continues, we learn that Maria & Derek are safe. Melissa & Maks, however, are in jeopardy. We then learn that they are the second team to be eliminated. That means Katherine and Mark are headed to the semifinals.

Tears flow as Melissa says goodbye and a shares a final dance with her partner, Maks, as well as Roshon and Chelsie. We knew this double elimination night would be rough. It’s not going to get any easier as we brace for some exciting semifinal action next time!.

William Levy está acabando en la televisión americana gracias a la gran actuación que viene cumpliendo en "Dancing With The Stars" junto a la bailarina profesional Sheryl Burke. El cubano llegó precedido por ser el galán de las telenovelas mexicanas y por supuesto como el chico que subió la temperatura en uno de los videos de Jennifer Lopez. Ahora su nombre suena por su talento, simpatía y por el gran cariño que se ha ganado en la audiencia del reality de baile.

Y es que todos quieren saber un poco más de la vida de William y se ha llegado a hurgar en su pasado saliendo a la luz la demanda de acoso sexual sobre una menor de edad, además de su carrera inicial como modelo donde realizó audaces sesiones fotográficas en ropa interior transparente que dejaban sus masculinidad expuesta en todo su esplendor.

Fue una noche de doble eliminación y los primeros en abandonar la competencia por haber quedado en el fondo de la tabla fueron el joven actor de Disney Roshon Fegan y Chelsie Higtower. Después se decidió la suerte de Katehrine Jenkins y Mark Ballas y la de Melissa Gilbert y Maksim Chmerkovskiy que fueron colocados en la zona de peligro. Not only did William Levy get a perfect 30 tonight, Roshon Fegan had his best dance yet! Will it be enough to save him from double elimination?
William Levy looked like a pro on the dance floor May 7, but the other five remaining contestants weren’t far behind him. Tomorrow’s double elimination is going to be the hardest yet!

William and Cheryl Burke‘s Foxtrot was flawless, which puts him right up there with Katherine Jenkins and Maria Menounos in our book. That said, Disney star Roshon Fegan – who’s been at risk of being cut the last few weeks — more than held his own, receiving a score of 29!
To top the night off, the contestants danced in the show’s first-ever threesome round with two dance pros and a star, which was actually really entertaining. Katherine took the highest honors for that round.
