Episode 96
Hector is furious to find out that rubi ran away. rubi tells loreto that hector poisoned alejandro and is furious to see that he and maribel are sweethearts. alejandro tells marco that rubi told him hector was the one who tried to kill him and the baby she is expecting is his. marco tells him he asked hector and he denied it, but there is evidence that somebody accused him and suggests that he files a suit against him. alejandro doesn't think that hector is guilty. hector goes to the hospital to tell alejandro that he didn't try to kill him. rubi asks cayetano to allow her to stay in his house because she wants to feel safe. hector comes to get rubi but cayetano warns him that if he takes her against her will; he will call the police. don genaro tells hector that his father killed his mother and he committed suicide because he had unfounded jealousy and suggests him to look for help from a psychiatrist. hector answers that he is not crazy and is furious because rubi had sex with alejandro and the baby that she is expecting is alejandro's. therefore, he will never divorce rubi.
Episode 97
Alejandro takes rubi out of his house and tells her that she has no rights to be there. maribel is way above her and he loves her. he says that he is sure that the baby is hector's and she should take care of things with him. cayetano tells hector that rubi planted the jewels for him to be sent to jail and hired the attorney to make sure he didn't leave prison, but in spite of that, he will help her because of cristina. hector changes the stock that was in rubi's name to his own. cayetano tells rubi that she should give hector his money if she wants to divorce him. she tells him furiously that even if he helped hector get back his money, she will recover it. cristina asks cayetano if he did it out of revenge. he answers that rubi is a barefaced that is besides deceiving hector, she wants to keep his money. cristina asks him not to put her in a difficult situation because rubi is her sister.
Episode 98
Rubi is surprised to see hector; they argue. he tells her that in case he loses her, he will keep alejandro's baby. rubi tells him furiously that he won't blackmail her with that baby because before that, she will abort it. hector tells her that she is a monster. marco tells alejandro that the poison, which they used to kill him, was stolen at the hospital. therefore, it was impossible that hector had done it and rubi insists that the baby is his. elena insults and slaps rubi. she tells her that she is the one to be blame for hector acting the way she does. rubi asks her to help her escape. elena asks hector to let go of rubi and tells him that it's illegal to keep her without her will. elena calls don genaro and updates him on what hector is doing. genaro goes to hector's house to pick up rubi and takes her to alejandro's. he tells ignacio that the baby that rubi is expecting is alejandro's.
Episode 99
Genaro tells ignacio that rubi is now under alejandro's responsibility because the baby is his. cayetano tells marco that something happened that made him see that cristina loves him and appreciates marco. therefore, he doesn't have to be away from her or from fernando and has permission to see them whenever he wishes. lucia tells maribel that hector has serious problems with rubi because the baby that she is expecting is alejandro's. hector tells genaro that he will never divorce her in spite of anything and will take care of the baby as his own. hector gets to alejandro's and threatens rubi and ignacio with a gun. ignacio tells him not to do the same thing as his father, who killed his mother because of jealousy. hector leaves frustrated. rubi tries to convince alejandro that hector is like that because she confessed to him that the baby was not his, but alejandro's. alejandro tells him that first; he will have to do some tests on rubi. she tells alejandro that he is the only man that she loved, he answers that he loved her, but unfortunately now he loves maribel.
Episode 100
A doctor performs an ultrasound test on Rubi and it is proven that the baby is Alejandro’s. Rubi tells Alejandro that now they are going to be one happy family as they always dreamt. Hector tells Elena that he probably inherited his father’s madness, and he thanks god that the baby that Rubi is expecting is Alejandro’s and not his. Rubi tells Maribel that Alejandro already checked that the baby that she is expecting is his and asks her to leave him. Maribel tells her that she doesn’t believe her because the only thing that she does is lying. Alejandro tells Marco that he already checked that the son that Rubi is expecting is his and he is now confused. Alejandro tells Rubi that he will be responsible of his son but will never marry her because he loves Maribel. Rubi tells Alejandro that Hector will have to divorce her and they could get married. Rubi tells alejandro that it's unfair for him to rejects his baby. the baby deserves to have a father as well as a mother and they need to try to get along for the baby's sake. alejandro looks for maribel to tell her that he is not going to abandon neither rubi nor his son but he wants to spend the rest of his life with her. maribel refuses in spite of loving him but cannot have a fatherless baby. rubi looks for lucio to ask for help to recover her stock and make hector pay for what he did to her. she said that she had endured him for three years and she ought to be rewarded with money. lucio tells arturo that he cares about maribel and wants to marry her and will try to win her over even if she loves alejandro. lucio tells bermudez to ask his son to leave maribel. he tells him that he will destroy alejandro but doesn't dare to hurt her. hector offers to go with elena for a trip to morelos.

Hector tells elena that he wishes to start a new life with her. rubi tells alejandro that she cannot accept his money without love and will go back to the old apartment and will learn to give her son a living. rubi asks cristina to let her stay in her house because alejandro refuses to marry her and be responsible for his son. cristina tells alejandro how important it is for a baby to have a family. alejandro tells her that he will take care of all the expenses for the baby but won't marry her because he doesn't love her. rubi tries push fernanda who is about to be hit by a car; the car hits her and she suffers a miscarriage. alejandro explains don arturo that he will the father for his son but he loves maribel and won't leave her. arturo tells him that he won't allow either he or rubi to hurt his daughter. elisa asks alejandro if he got rubi pregnant to hurt hector. rubi asks lucia not to tell alejandro that she lost the baby. hector and maribel hug and alejandro gets surprised to see them together.

Alejandro tells hector that maribel is his girlfriend and doesn't want him to go near her. maribel rejects alejandro again. rubi begs alejandro to give her a chance to show him that she has changed. alejandro tells her that he loves maribel. rubi tells him hypocritically that she won't be an obstacle between maribel and him. rubi tells maribel that she is very selfish because in order to keep alejandro she will leave a baby without a dad. maribel tells her that she broke up with alejandro and alejandro probably doesn't want to marry her. if he marries her, they will live in a marriage without love. elena visits her mother and she blames her for her sister's death. rubi tells alejandro that he wants his son have his values and isn't obsessed over money like her.

Rubi kisses alejandro. bermudez runs into maribel and tells her to beware because something could happen to her. ernesto demands his father to tell him who is garduno and why he accused him of buying defective clinical equipment. bermudez claims to be innocent and asks him not to let himself get influenced by maribel and alejandro. alejandro tells rubi that he will marry her as soon as hector divorces her. hector tells elena's mother that it was her duty to take care of her daughters. she is responsible for what happened to her other daughter and not elena's who was then a little girl. rubi tells maribel that she is getting married with alejandro. maribel answers that he marries her because she asked him to do it but she could have second thoughts and they can look for him and ask him who he really in love with. elena asks her mother to forgive her and they agree to recover the time that they lost when they were apart. alejandro tells hector that he has to divorce rubi because he will marry her.

Hector tells Alejandro angrily that Rubi is still his wife and he has rights over the baby and will acknowledge him as his own. He will never let him be happy with Rubi. Lucio asks Rubi to go with him to Las Vegas. She says that she can’t because she is going to marry Alejandro but doesn’t forget that she needs to pay him a debt. Alejandro hears Rubi telling Loreto that she put lame Maribel out of her way. She also said that she has Alejandro’s love plus his money and she will no longer need to pretend that she is good and selfless. Alejandro tells Rubi that Hector refuses to divorce her. She suggests that they live together but he says that he won’t do that because he loves Maribel and he could give her all his money and he heard what she was telling Loreto and warns her not to call Maribel the way she did because he is going to marry her. Rubi finds Hector and Elena in bed. Elena gets upset and tells Hector that he can keep Rubi if he wishes but not to look for her to console him. Hector destroys Rubi’s passport when he thinks that she is leaving with Alejandro. Elisa tells Hector that Alejandro won’t marry Rubi.

Elisa tells hector that she doesn't know what happened between them but she knows that alejandro is not getting married with rubi. marco tells alejandro that maribel left with lucio to vegas to work on something for her father. elena tells hector that she knows that he tore rubi's documents because he is jealous so she didn't leave with lucio to las vegas. she tells him that she took the risk of loving him and made a mistake because rubi treated her like a tramp but doesn't want anything to do with him anymore. hector tells rubi that he knows that alejandro is no longer marrying her and proposes that they start a new life together. onesimo asks cayetano to give him permission to date dolores. alejandro gets to las vegas to speak with maribel and convince her to start all over again. he tells her that he won't marry rubi but will never abandon her or her baby. rubi gets furious when she finds out that alejandro went looking for maribel in las vegas. rubi asks loreto to help her with a plan that she has with hector.

Rubi tells hector that she agrees and wants to start a new life with him. they learn that they should forgive and accept themselves as they are. alejandro and maribel make love. she tells him that she always dreamt of making love for the first time with the man that she loved and feels very happy. alejandro proposes to her that they get married right there, that same day. hector looks for rubi to tell her that he accepts her proposal but she tells him that she will never go back to him because he is still the same jealous man. they struggle she falls to the ground on purpose. rubi tells lucio that she has a plan to separate alejandro and maribel and needs his help. lucio tells her that she owes a lot to him and wants her to pay him by spending a weekend with her. rubi phones alejandro telling him that she is in the hospital because she fell down and she has a risk of a miscarriage. he doesn't believe her, but ignacio tells him that rubi is telling the truth. alejandro tells maribel that their wedding was about to start but the life of his son is in danger. marco tells cayetano that he has a brain tumor. rubi tells alejandro that she had a miscarriage.

Rubi tells alejandro that she had a miscarriage and she has to be alone. she also says that she would prefer to die. marco tells cayetano that his tumor is inoperable and he will only live for few months. cayetano asks him not to tell cristina. alejandro asks rubi how she fell; she tells him that she and hector struggled and he hurled her. alejandro and hector punch each other. rubi tells loreto that everybody believed that she had just had a miscarriage because of hector and that will teach him for taking her money away. elena tells hector that she is sure that he didn't cause the miscarriage. hector tries to convince her to go back to him because now he knows who rubi really is and will divorce her. elena refuses to go back to him for the moment. hector asks rubi why she hates him so much, why she hurts him like that and now blames him for her miscarriage.
Episode 109
Rubi tells hector that he can never prove that he didn't push her and will destroy him. hector asks her why; she says that it's convenient for her. hector tries to force her to tell the truth, but rubi yells saying that he is threatening her to tell lies. ignacio, elisa and genaro fall for the lie. maribel tells alejandro that she saw rubi and him kissing and wants to know what is going to happen about them. hector tells elena that rubi admitted that she lied and he will prove to everybody that he is not a murderer. hector finds out that rubi suffered the miscarriage when the car hit her. he runs into her in the hospital and takes her with him to take see alejandro and tell him the truth. rubi manages to escape, hector chases her, they struggle, and rubi hits him with a stone on the head. hector remains unconscious. elena tells lucio that she quits because she is starting a new life with hector because he is divorcing rubi. rubi tells alejandro that hector wanted to kill her, but escaped. hector met with an accident. marco tells alejandro that hector arrived severely injured.
Episode 110
Marco tells Alejandro that Hector has a cut on his spine. Maribel tells Paco that she made a mistake when she fell in love with Alejandro because Rubi will never leave them alone. Paco tells her that Alejandro feels sympathy for Rubi because of the miscarriage but loves Maribel. Alejandro tells Marco that Hector needs to go through surgery but he can’t do it because he is still mad at him. Marco tells him that it’s his duty. Rubi tells Alejandro that Hector tried to kill her and she won’t feel at ease if Hector continues alive; she suggests that she kills him. Alejandro tells maribel that he ignores what happened at surgery because everything was going well until hector had a bleeding that he was unable to stop. loreto asks rubi if she really thinks that alejandro paid attention to her and killed hector. rubi tells him that she is sure because hector's only risk was to be crippled for the rest of his life but better of dying. alejandro eliminated him and that secret will keep them together. elisa slaps alejandro and accuses him of killing hector for him to be with rubi. alejandro tells them everything that happened during surgery and tells them that everything showed that it was successful and he ignores what provoked the hemorrhage that killed hector. rubi tells maribel cynically that she is a widow; she is free and living at alejandro's. maribel tells her not to feel so sure. lucio spends the night with rubi and tells her that he wants to take her with him to paris; rubi said she would if she were the countess of aragon; lucio tells her that it is impossible but would give her a lot of money. elisa asks cristina to leave at hector's funeral. alejandro is arrested for being a suspect of hector's death.
Episode 112
The district attorney tells alejandro that hector's death was provoked and he is in a tight spot and he would be in prison for forty years. dr lara tells marco that alejandro performed this surgery more carefully than many others and didn't do anything wrong. marco tells him that hector's blood contain an anti-coagulant. lorena breaks up with paco; paco tells her that he loves her, but felt attracted to ingrid. bermudez tells lucio that gascon gave hector the anti-coagulant. now alejandro will have to suffer the consequences and he can have maribel and rubi. eliza threatens to contest hector's will when she finds out that he left everything to rubi. rubi tells elena that she is free and wealthy to be happy with alejandro; elena tells her that alejandro will rot in prison. lucio tells rubi that he will take alejandro out of prison if she agrees to be his. alejandro tells rubi that he never considered killing hector and least of all for her. rubi tells lucio that she agrees to go to paris with him.

Rubi tells lucio to make a millionaire out of her and take out alejandro from prison and she will stay with him. lucio tells her that he was sure that she would accept and bought her an apartment. bermudez goes to prison to mock alejandro for losing his career and his freedom. cayetano asks marco to take care of cristina and fernanda when he dies. rubi tells maribel that she knows who killed hector and could get alejandro out of prison only if she leaves him. rubi tells marco that she is sure that ernesto is bermudez' son. marco tells ernesto that he is sure that he helped his father to send alejandro to prison. ernesto tells him that he had nothing to do with it, although his father always told him that alejandro was mean but he saw gazcon leaving hector's room before surgery. maribel tells rubi that she will leave alejandro but she is so sure that he loves her because they almost got married in vegas and she won't make him forget her. bermudez threatens lucio with a gun and tells him that he betrayed him; they struggle, he fires and lucio been hit; bermudez tries to escape and shoots ernesto. marco tells elena that the person who killed hector were gazcon, bermudez, and lucio. lucio tells elena that the papers that he showed her will serve to dominate rubi. He dies.

Marco tells Maribel that Ernesto was a victim of his father and Lucio paid with his life so Alejandro will be released. Maribel tells him that she is glad, but will never see him. Rubi tells Loreto that now she has the money and the love. Elena tells Rubi that her stock at the stock house is worth nothing and besides; Hector had many debts that she has to pay because she is the heir. Rubi tells Alejandro that she lost her money because Lucio revenged on her for helping him to be released. Elena tells Alejandro that Rubi was Yago and Lucio’s lover and destroyed Hector’s life and advises him not to let her do the same to him. Alejandro tells Rubi furiously that he knows that Hector was not responsible of the death of their baby because when he proposed to her she was no longer pregnant. He tells her that he feels repulsion for her and will go back to Maribel and marry her. Rubi tells him that Maribel doesn’t love him and move aside when she found out about her pregnancy and she asked her to leave him if she wanted her to take him out of prison. Alejandro tells her that Maribel’s love is true love. Rubi shouts at him that she will never let them be happy: she falls down the stairs.
