I would say that the system of education in Poland is a complete catastrophy... It's pathetic... And one of many things which makes me laugh is that polish English teachers teach british english but.... american pronounciation which is a complete paradox.... How to mend this? Who knows.... I state that the best clue is: Make yourself to learn foreign languages and don't wait until a good professional teacher will make a miracle. Everything is up to you guys. If you want to achieve the succes, do not hesitate about it. I didn't and now I am absolutely delighted with what I do

And one of the best things to do is to learn more than one language. English is now an obligatory standard, everyone knows some English words. I recommend you Spanish and French. The former gains more and more popularity and remains at a second place on a list of the most spoken languages of the world, just after the Mandarin Chinese, while the latter, as a language of diplomacy, would look nice in your CV

If you really want to do it, time isn't a big problem

My cousin works in somehow strange hours (5 PM - 4 AM) and sleeps during the rest of the day, but she put small sheets of paper with Portuguese names of proper objects everywhere and placed big grammar posters on the walls in order to be able to communicate with her manager (a company, in which she's working is owned by the Portuguese)

Great idea. However if I do sacrify my almost all leisure time on learning English, I cannot learn another one. Believe me- you can be willing to do plenty of things but not everything can be done at once.
